Dear Sharon- I don't know why you would worry about what someone might think of your writing about such a personal topic in your life on your blog. To me, one of the most wonderful things about blogs, whether they are personal or business, is the ability to share your feelings and your place in life with others who become friends and sisters of sorts. My heart breaks for you. I can't imagine experiencing that kind of loss. You and your family will be in my prayers as you move through this difficult time. You're in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Divorce (and often a long-term break-up) can feel like a death of sorts; the death of the love you believed to be genuine and life-lasting.
As you mourn the loss of your union, take away as many precious memories as well as lessons learned and just know that you are truly loved by your blog family.
You are a delight to work with via cyberspace and I have no doubt that your spirit shines from your beautiful smile as it does through your beautiful work.

I am so sorry our find yourself on this particular journey in your life. I have gone through divorce before myself and it can be quite a struggle and I can sympathize and understand your feelings about failure. Just be true to yourself and know that it's not always meant to be.

Hi Sharon - I am new to your beautful blog and work and read this post. I am so sorry. I know the heartache that you are going through and don't wish that on anyone. There will be more hard days ahead but you will get through it and of course we mix business and personal, how could something that rocks your whole world not affect your business? The nice thing is that most people are supportive - just keep creating, some of my favorite work came out of hard times. Keep your head up, I will be praying for your family.

I'm so very sorry... as someone who experienced Divorce many, many years ago I have the utmost empathy for how difficult it is to make such a painful and life changing decision and continue to move forward without too much collateral damage left in the wake of relationships ending that you invested so much of yourself into.

I Pray that you have a Peace and Strength to move forward with Grace and Dignity intact... and continue to Blog, Create and know that the best is yet to come... sometimes it is difficult to envision that when we are going through Life's Challenges. FYI I do follow your blog, I have been lagging behind in my craft duties also. I have been on the hunt for my mothers family and I found a few that aren't very nice at all. I just wanted to know where she was buried and find out any info I could. She passed away when I was 20 months old and my sister was 8 months old. She died on February 5 and was buried on Feb 8 her 20th bday. She was only 20 yrs old. So I do follow you I just wanted to let you know that. I know everyone has issues and some of them start to pop up the holidays. I am sorry I shouldn't be leaning on your shoulder when you should be leaning on mine. Hugs, Dee:)

Sharon I do follow your blog, but I too have had some issues going on, but not with my husband just distant family members. I am so sorry to hear that you are divorcing. I know you said that you have tried to work it out, but can I ask, were you able to go to counseling to see if that would help? Just throwing that out there. I don't want to pry and I feel terrible for you. I don't know how long you have been married, but it is very sad to hear no matter how long you have been married. I know that we met through creating my banners for my 2 blogs and feel pretty friendly with you since we also did the 1 hour teaching session, which I loved. Just to let you know that if you ever need to talk you have my number, but I will give it to you again on your etsy site. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I am sure you have very close friends to confide in, but I just thought I would put it out there. You are a great person and I am always here if you need to talk, I am a great listener. I am sorry you are going through this. It seems like everyone is going through a divorce right now. Several of our close friends, some of which have no been married long, are divorcing as we speak. I can't believe the numbers and it makes me nervous. I know you'll make it through. Stay strong and keep in mind that you did all you could. Sometimes things are not salvageable, just like a project gone wrong. Sometimes its best just to start over. I wish you the best of luck and know you'll be just fine!

To blog about our deepest feelings and pain is really healing and wholesome. You are also offering others a place where our hearts can meet in support and nurturance. Life is full of obstacles and challenges and some of them are really painful! Everyone has their own cross to bear, so thank you for sharing and thank you for holding the mirror for all of us to reflect on. Sharon, I am sorry to hear about the divorce, I just wanted you to know I have been there myself and I had an extremely difficult time, and then somehow you find your way through it. Someone had said to me oh it is too bad you had to waste those years and I remember thinking no it was not a waste it was a life learning experience and now because of it I have been much happier in my second marriage. You may just find how strong you are...you are no way a failure,,,think of all the people that just stick to a bad situation and are unhappy, I see it as a success. I know I don't know you well, I just wanted you to know your not alone, if you need to talk

First of all let me tell you how sorry I am to hear of your marital difficulties,my heart does truly go out to you.
Secondly this is your blog and your post...you can write on what ever topic of discussion you wish.

I went through a life changing divorce about 15 years ago, may I say ...even though you really may not believe it right now...Your life will get better and things will find there place once more.Give your self all the time you need to heal, and do the things that will help you get to a happier place...do good to you.

I know that so often we are told that divorce = a failed marriage. I don't believe this. Your marriage is ending, but you have not failed. You have chosed to move on to new things. You have chosen growth over stagnation. This is not failure, my dear. You are going through a Wintertime in your life, but Spring will come again for you.
